Remember the recent blogging e-course that I told you about? Well, I have decided to take another e-course but this one is totally different. I just signed up to take Rachel Denbow’s ‘I Do Solemnly Swear’ Summer Art Journal Class. The class starts June 1 and ends June 11th. It includes 8 tutorials and two private chats with Rachel. I can’t wait!

You’re probably wondering, where does this girl get all this time? Well, here is the thing, I make it a priority. I love to journal and this is something I have always been interested in learning. I want to journal in a more expressive and creative way. Other chores like cleaning my house, paper work, our laundry (the girls laundry gets done daily), chatting on the phone, going out and watching t.v. all get put on the back burner. The other wonderful thing about these type of courses is that generally the instructor allows you to visit the course material for a set period of time after the course has ended.
I love to learn new things and meet like minded individuals in the process. Since it’s tough to get out with twins, I’m using the internet and these e-courses to connect and to acquire new skills.

Here is an example of someone I just found through ‘Rachel Denbow’s Summer Art Journal Class’; her name is Toni Brockliss. She is a stay at home mom who loves to craft. She has started this bountiful idea which she calls ‘a little me’. Here is how it works. Send her an e-mail with your name, address and your blog URL (if you have one) and she will send you something in the mail for free all the way from Australia. She already has 131 people signed up and she will slowly make her way down the list. This is her way of spreading some ‘nice’ into the world. Thank you Toni for being so open, generous and inspirational! And a special thanks to Rachel for allowing me to be creative and to learn new skills.

Thanks for posting! I think it’s great that you’re taking advantage of online courses while being at home with your girls. As much of a bad wrap that the internet can get, it has given me a ’social’ life and a chance to do what I love within the limits that raising kids at home presents.
Looking forward to the class!
